Musculoskeletal and physical rehabilitation telehealth ecosystem
A cross platform system that lets physical therapists and sports medicine specialists assess movement and pain remotely, prescribe exercise and track recovery between visits.
The problem
Remote assessment is hard to do with video alone. Clinicians wanted objective movement data and a precise way for patients to show where it hurts, while the whole system had to treat every session, note and recording as PHI.
How we approached it
We built React Native apps for patients and clinicians on a Laravel API. A Three.js viewer renders 2D and 3D GLB body models so clinicians can mark and compare movement. A WebView touch capture lets patients paint pain location, sensitivity and intensity straight onto an anatomical chart, and an interactive SVG body map supports multi-tap zones and filters for fast review.
What we built
- React Native patient and clinician apps for iOS and Android
- Three.js rendering of 2D and 3D GLB body models for objective movement assessment
- WebView touch capture to map pain location, sensitivity and intensity on digital anatomy
- Interactive SVG body region maps with multi-tap zoning and dynamic filters
- Exercise programs, adherence tracking and progress charts
- Encrypted audit logs and secure session management across web and mobile
How the pieces fit together
Security and compliance controls
- Encrypted audit logs
- Short lived sessions and automatic logoff
- No third party SDK receives PHI
- Encrypted video and file storage
- Role scoped access for clinicians
Outcomes for the operator
- Clinicians compare movement and pain maps across visits with the same structured data, not memory and screenshots.
- Patients describe pain in seconds by tapping a body chart instead of typing a paragraph.
- Practices extend care between appointments without adding admin work.

Representative engagement. Client details and internal figures are withheld under NDA. Compliance depends on how a system is operated as well as how it is built, and your own counsel decides what applies to you.
