Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need our own data to use AI?
For predictions and scoring, yes: the model learns from your historical data. For language-model features such as document extraction or Q&A, you can start with existing models and your documents, without training a model from scratch.
How is our data protected when using models like GPT or Claude?
Use the providers’ business APIs, which do not use API data for model training by default, limit what personal data is sent, and log and review outputs. The exact controls should be agreed in the project’s data processing terms.
How fast can I onboard a AI & ML Engineers?
Most engagements start within 3-5 business days of a signed agreement. We match you with pre-vetted engineers, run a short intro call, and you can begin the same week.
What engagement models do you offer?
Full-time (dedicated, 40 hrs/week), part-time, hourly, or project-based fixed-scope engagements, whichever fits your budget and timeline.
Can I interview the developer before starting?
Yes. We share profiles and set up a technical interview with your shortlisted AI & ML Engineers before any commitment.
Who owns the code and IP?
You do. All work is delivered under an IP-assignment agreement, so the code, designs, and documentation belong entirely to you.

What does an AI & ML Engineer do?

An AI/ML engineer builds features that learn from data or use large language models: predictions, classification, recommendations, document extraction and assistants grounded in your own content. You need one when a business problem depends on patterns in data that rules alone cannot capture.

What they typically own on a project

  • Assessing whether your data can support the use case
  • Building and evaluating models, or integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI GPT and Anthropic Claude
  • Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over your documents
  • Deploying models behind APIs and monitoring their accuracy
  • Adding guardrails: evaluation sets, human review, data privacy controls

When to hire one

  • You want to automate document handling, triage or classification
  • You have historical data and want forecasts, scoring or recommendations
  • You want an assistant that answers from your own knowledge base

What to check in the technical interview

  • Ask how they would measure whether the model is good enough before launch
  • Check experience deploying and monitoring models, not only training notebooks
  • Ask how they would keep customer or personal data out of third-party model training
