Frequently Asked Questions
Should design be finished before development starts?
The core flows should be designed and tested first. After that, design and development usually run in parallel, with the designer one or two sprints ahead of the engineers.
Do we receive the design files?
Yes. Design files, components and assets are delivered to you along with the code, and are best kept in a workspace your company owns.
How fast can I onboard a UI/UX Designers?
Most engagements start within 3-5 business days of a signed agreement. We match you with pre-vetted engineers, run a short intro call, and you can begin the same week.
What engagement models do you offer?
Full-time (dedicated, 40 hrs/week), part-time, hourly, or project-based fixed-scope engagements, whichever fits your budget and timeline.
Can I interview the developer before starting?
Yes. We share profiles and set up a technical interview with your shortlisted UI/UX Designers before any commitment.
Who owns the code and IP?
You do. All work is delivered under an IP-assignment agreement, so the code, designs, and documentation belong entirely to you.

What does a UI/UX Designer do?

A UI/UX designer works out how a product should work for its users and how it should look: research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and the final visual design. You need one before and during development, so engineers build screens that have already been tested with users.

What they typically own on a project

  • User research and analysis of existing analytics or support tickets
  • User flows and wireframes for key journeys
  • Clickable prototypes for testing with real users
  • Visual design and a reusable design system
  • Design hand-off and review during development

When to hire one

  • You are starting a new product and need the flows defined before development
  • Users drop off in sign-up, checkout or onboarding
  • Your product has grown screen by screen and looks inconsistent

What to check in the technical interview

  • Ask them to walk through one project from research to final design and what changed after testing
  • Check that their designs account for empty, error and loading states
  • Ask how they work with developers during hand-off
