Kawach Technology is an India-based software development company, founded in 2018, that builds Arabic-first mobile apps, custom management systems, ERP integrations and ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing connections for businesses in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and across Saudi Arabia. Our team is 2.5 hours ahead of Saudi time.
Riyadh is the centre of B2B software buying in the Kingdom, followed by Jeddah and the Eastern Province. Saudi buyers mostly search in Arabic, using words such as برمجة (programming), تصميم (design), نظام (system) and جوال (mobile), so Arabic-first products and content matter more here than anywhere else in the Gulf.
Vision 2030 continues to drive digitisation, and three things shape projects right now: ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing waves, active enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Law by SDAIA since September 2024, and new in-Kingdom cloud regions. AI use is climbing fast too, reaching 45.2% of internet users in 2025 according to the Communications, Space and Technology Commission.
What companies in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam most often ask us to build.
Arabic-first iOS and Android apps with right-to-left layouts, Hijri dates where needed, SAR pricing and local payments such as mada and STC Pay.
Learn more →When a business says "we need a system", we build it: operations, approvals, inventory, HR or customer management, designed around how your team works.
Learn more →Connect your ERP, accounting or POS system to FATOORA: invoice data mapping, CSID onboarding, sandbox testing and monitoring after go-live.
Learn more →Custom ERP modules and connectors, including linking Salla or Zid stores to Odoo or your accounting system so orders, stock and invoices stay in sync.
Learn more →Arabic AI assistants on WhatsApp and your website that answer questions, take orders or bookings and hand over to your team, connected to your CRM or ERP.
Developers who work only on your product, planned around the Sunday to Thursday week, as staff augmentation or a dedicated team we manage.
Learn more →Get a free consultation during your office hours and a scoped estimate after discovery.
What we plan for from the architecture stage. We're not a law firm, so your counsel confirms what applies to you.
Invoices must be generated in a structured XML format, cryptographically stamped and cleared (B2B) or reported (B2C) through FATOORA, rolled out in waves by revenue.
Enforced by SDAIA since September 2024. It covers consent, data minimisation, breach notification and limits on transferring personal data outside the Kingdom.
The National Cybersecurity Authority's Essential and Cloud Cybersecurity Controls apply to government entities, critical infrastructure and the vendors that serve them.
Government contracts run through Etimad, and the regional headquarters (RHQ) rule limits work for foreign firms without one, with exceptions introduced in 2026.
Saudi payroll and wage-protection files run through Mudad, which HR and payroll systems need to support.
Healthcare claims go through NPHIES and residential leases through Ejar; software in those sectors usually needs to integrate with them.
| Date | What happens |

| Cost driver | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Platforms | Web only, iOS and Android, or all three; cross-platform (Flutter, React Native) usually costs less than two native apps. |
| Arabic and English | Right-to-left layouts, Arabic typography and bilingual content add design and testing work, far less if planned from the start. |
| Integrations | Payments, ERP, government identity and e-invoicing connections each add build and testing time. |
| Number of apps | Marketplaces and delivery platforms need customer, provider and admin apps, not one. |
| Data and security | In-country hosting, audit logging and compliance requirements shape the architecture. |
| Support after launch | 30 days of support is included; ongoing maintenance is a separate retainer. |
How the three common ways of getting software built compare for a business in Saudi Arabia.
| Factor | In-house team in Saudi Arabia | Local agency | India-based partner (KawachTech) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | Highest: salaries, visas, benefits and office costs | High agency rates | Usually lower, with a senior, established team |
| Time to start | Months of recruiting | Weeks | Weeks; the team already works together |
| Time zone | Same | Same | 2.5 hours ahead; most of the day overlaps |
| Scaling up or down | Slow and costly | Depends on the agency | Team size adjusts to your roadmap |
| Visibility | Full | Varies | Shared board, sprint demos, one point of contact |
| Code ownership | Yours | Check the contract | Transfers to you on full payment |

Straight answers for businesses in Saudi Arabia evaluating a software development partner.
It depends on the platforms, features, Arabic and English scope, integrations such as mada, Nafath or ZATCA, and whether data must be hosted in the Kingdom. As a general reference, a focused MVP typically starts in the low five figures in US dollars, and larger platforms cost more. We give a scoped estimate after a free discovery call.
For private-sector projects, Saudi companies commonly contract directly with overseas software firms. Government contracts are different: the regional headquarters (RHQ) rule limits work for foreign firms without one, with exceptions introduced in 2026, such as some smaller contracts through Etimad. We check the position for your project before proposing.
Phase 2, the integration phase of Saudi Arabia's FATOORA e-invoicing, requires your invoicing system to generate invoices in a structured XML format, stamp them cryptographically, and send them to ZATCA for clearance (B2B) or reporting (B2C) in near real time. Systems are onboarded to FATOORA with a cryptographic stamp identifier (CSID) first.
ZATCA selects businesses in waves based on VAT-subject revenue and notifies them directly, usually several months ahead. Wave 25 covers businesses above SAR 187,500 with an integration deadline of 1 February 2027. Check your notification or the ZATCA portal for your exact date.
Yes. Point-of-sale systems issue simplified (B2C) invoices, which in Phase 2 must carry a QR code and be reported to ZATCA within 24 hours. We integrate the POS with your invoicing back end, or build the reporting service if your system does not support it yet.
Not always, but often in practice. The PDPL restricts transferring personal data outside the Kingdom except under conditions set by its regulations, and government, financial and healthcare projects commonly require in-Kingdom hosting. Google Cloud already operates a region in Dammam, and Microsoft Azure and AWS have announced Saudi regions. We confirm where data must live before designing the infrastructure.
The ECC are the baseline cybersecurity controls issued by Saudi Arabia's National Cybersecurity Authority for government entities, critical national infrastructure and the organisations that serve them. If you are in scope, we build to support controls such as access management, logging and secure development and help prepare evidence. We don't hold an NCA certification ourselves.
Saudi Arabia applies withholding tax to many payments made to non-resident service providers, at rates that depend on the type of service, and the India-Saudi Arabia tax treaty can change the outcome. Ask your tax advisor to confirm before the first invoice so it is reflected in the contract.
We plan around it. Our team works from India, 2.5 hours ahead, and Monday to Thursday is shared by both weeks, so planning calls, sprint demos and releases are scheduled on days your team is working.
Yes. We sign an NDA before any detailed project discussion.
You do. Under our standard terms, ownership of custom source code, designs and related work product transfers to you on full payment.
Fixed price suits a clearly defined scope, time and materials suits projects that will evolve, and a dedicated team suits ongoing product work where developers work only on your roadmap. We help you choose after discovery.
Working hours across the Gulf are usually shorter during Ramadan, so reviews and approvals can take longer. We plan around it by bringing launches forward or scheduling them after Eid, and by agreeing review windows that suit your Ramadan hours.
Every project includes 30 days of post-launch support for fixes. After that, maintenance, monitoring and new features continue on a retainer sized to your needs.
Our published case studies are from clients in other markets, in sectors that matter in the Gulf such as logistics, financial services, real estate and hospitality. We walk you through relevant examples during discovery.
